A familiar face is returning for American Horror Story’s upcoming fifth installment.
Series creator Ryan Murphy has confirmed that fan favourite Emma Roberts will be returning to the horror anthology series for American Horror Story: Hotel.
“[Emma’s] still going to do a couple episodes of Horror Story at the end, I think,” Murphy told Zap2it.
“She comes at the end. She comes and she has a great thing with Evan Peters at the end.”
It will be the 24-year-old’s third outing with the show, after previously starring as tearaway witch Madison Montgomery in Coven and con-woman Maggie Esmerelda in last year’s Freak Show.
Roberts is the latest star to return to AHS, after Murphy revealed earlier this month that Finn Wittrock – who played psychotic villain Dandy Mott in Freak Show – will also be returning as part of a love triangle involving Lady Gaga and Matt Bomer, whose castings were announced earlier this year.
The ever-increasing line-up also includes Max Greenfield, Matt Bomer, Sarah Paulson, Chloe Sevigny, Kathy Bates, Wes Bentley and Cheyenne Jackson.
Although details regarding their roles are being kept under wraps, series creator Ryan Murphy is said to be planning a large ‘reinvention’ for the show’s fifth season, which will be the first not to include Jessica Lange.
Roberts will also soon be seen in Murphy’s new horror comedy series Scream Queens, which recently added a Buffy The Vampire Slayer actress to its totally ridiculous roster of stars – click here to find out more.
American Horror Story: Hotel airs in the US in the autumn on FX.
